May 23, 2001 The NASD announced that it is reviewing its entire set of rules to eliminate outdated rules. It has hired an outside consultant to assist it in its review. Any elimination of, or modification to, a rule would have to be approved by the SEC. The NASD welcomes comments from the industry.
