COMPLIANCE DATE FOR ORDER EXECUTION DISCLOSURE AND ROUTING PRACTICES RULE EXTENDED

March 9, 2001

The SEC extended the compliance date for the new rule governing order execution disclosure and routing practices from April 2, 2001 to May 1, 2001 for Rule 11Ac1-5 with respect to the first phase-in of securities. The subsequent phase-in dates of this rule and the compliance date for Rule 11Ac1-6 were unchanged. Under Rule 11Ac1-5, market centers that trade national market system securities will be required to make avaliable to the public monthly electronic reports that include uniform statistical measures of execution quality..
