The SEC adopted technical amendments to Form ADV. The amendments were made in connection with the SEC's recent requirement that advisers file their Form ADV with the SEC electronically through the Investment Adviser Registration Depository (IARD). After conducting a pilot program consisting of a group of initial filers, the SEC uncovered several techincal problems. The amendments address these problems by: (1) clarifying filing instructions; (2) providing notice to filers of administrative law requirements; and (3) eliminating minor internal inconsistenices in Form ADV and the other filing forms.
